Large black-and-white linoleum prints (1988/9)

While being tutored by well-known lecturers at Unisa, Pretoria. She found using male and female figures to inspire her somewhat philosophical attitudes most gratifying. She also explored using linoleum cutting and etching techniques in the same print. While this was not easy, she believes it was successful. Examples are Séance, My Own Indaba, and The Three Graces (1988). In the latter she portrays herself interacting with others. “The first panel shows her holding her right hand in a classic yoga gesture. This is significant as the sense of intense channelling of energy in many of her works may have been influenced by her extensive practice of yoga.”
